eNaira Mobile Application Review
What is eNaira Digital Currency?
eNaira is a Nigerian Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) issued and regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) officially launched the “eNaira”—a central bank digital currency (CBDC)—on October 25, 2021.
I have had the eNaira app for about no less than 24-hours, and frankly, i was marveled by the innovation that came into the app design, and backbone structure. Signing up is easy, and very intuitive, all you need do is input your e-mail address, and BVN details into the registration form, and an eNaira account will be opened for you in a very short time.
The eNaira app is not as robust as most other banking apps, but it sure is, an easy platform to make payments from peer-peer, without any middleman (commercial banks, in this case) ever featuring. For closure, you might need to contact your bank to begin full usage of the app. For peer-peer transaction to take place, both the fund sender and the beneficiary must have eNaira mobile app installed in their phones. The application is available on both android and apple app store.
eNaira is not a replacement for a traditional bank account.
This is because, money saved in an eNaira wallet will not accrue interest, and deposits are limited to #500,00 (five hundred thousand naira) only, for general accounts. However, if you want to raise your deposit limit, you will have to contact the eNaira customer care for further guidelines.
An Insightful Overview Of The Features Of The Institutionally-Structured, Government-Owned, eNaira Financial Fund Platform, Designed For Customers Such As; Merchants, Individuals, Businesses And NGO’s Alike.
