DNS stands for "Domain Name System" It is a naming database, in which domain names are assigned machine-readable IP addresses, to enable computers process queries made for a domain names. People, visit websites through domains such as ability.com, computer.com, and so on. On the other end, web browsers can only read and relay information of websites through IP addresses. DNS converts domain names into IP addresses which can be understood by browsers, in order for browsers to process search requests successfully.


An IP address bears the form '200.098.6.4'.
