HTTP stands for "Hypertext Transfer Protocol". HTTP is an application layer protocol based on the internet protocol suite model, which consists of hypermedia information systems, that are synergistic and disseminated in its backbone structure.
HTTP is the bedrock of data communication for the World Wide Web, in which a web browser is used to access hypertext documents containing hyperlinks to numerous materials, by touch controls or mouse cursor movements.
