Apple confirms that it has launched a battery replacement program, in line with numerous cases of the pouches not being functional in charging specific iPhones for which it was made for -it includes the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max models. The problematic Smart Battery Cases were produced between January 2019 and October 2019 as reports say.
Apple also says the non-responsive cases do not constitute any risk concerns, as it can be swapped for working units in due time without any repair cost on your end. Its manufacturer, Apple, along with Apple Authorized Service Providers will carry out the needed replacement services.
The battery cases are capable of keeping you going for a full day before any further charging may be required for continual usage of your iPhone. iOS natively supports the case charger which displays battery status. The Smart Battery Cases are great accessories to own if you haven't got one already, that is, despite its tendency to make the iPhone a bit less sleek at hand with its hefty $129 price tag.
